Josef Newgarden has emerged victorious in the 106th running of the iconic Indianapolis 500, becoming the first two-time winner in six years.
Newgarden dominated the race, leading 147 laps and withstanding a late charge from Pato O'Ward. His victory marks his second Indy 500 triumph, following his previous win in 2017.
O'Ward finished second, just 0.216 seconds behind Newgarden. Simon Pagenaud completed the podium in third place.
